Steve…I honestly do not usually comment on something I read unless it hits me strongly and I feel compelled to share…I understand where you are coming from…you provoke others to think differently…I get that! I was commenting on your your statement … more as an absolute “truth” ….that’s where I was coming from! I did not intend to offend or debate you… it just struck me and YOU are believer…you seem to mix it up on this website so I felt free myself to do that….like an invitation…”comment” means comment and so I did…!! You are unique…so am I!!!!
Sandra,
I didn’t mean to come across defensive OR offensively. My deep apologies if I did. I just don’t want to make those who do not live a Christ centered life out to be idiots or seem like I’m taking their ideas to task. I really don’t care what they do. The idea of not having God as your focal point is just part of the package when you are living for yourself in this world.
There are just so many out in the blog world pointing out those who reject God and then they act like high traditional jerks. I will not be one of them. People can do whatever they want for all I care. All I am offering here are my personal thoughts on simple matters. I certainly don’t want to create debates here (been there done that)… those days are over.
Steve…Interesting to read on this website your many references to Biblical wisdom…personal stories and openly referring to Jesus…yet you responded so defensively to my simple comment about Jesus…WOW! I see where your coming from….clearly!
Sandra,
Number 1: In our “post modern” society today, most people DO NOT believe Jesus to be alive in any way, talking or relevant.
Number 2: Over 70% of American pastors DO NOT believe in a virgin birth.
Number 3: Over 60% of American pastors DO NOT believe in a devil, satan or adversary of any kind.
This blog is for people who are looking to contribute their talents, gifts and training or education to society for its betterment. If you have solutions to peoples difficult problems, a niche way of communicating those solutions and are a great communicator, people will not only need you, but will seek you out. This blog is not intended to be a seminary or a place to push ideologies on people. Those are a dime a dozen. I don’t care what people believe; they just need to know that there are ways to increase your influence.
Most people believe the Christ to be irrelevant in regards to day-to-day interaction with work (I’m not one of them) and that is why your point is taken, but it is not warranted in this kind of forum. I appreciate your input though…
Steve…
Jesus surely had something to say..a unique way of saying it…and a solution to every problem but He was not and is not in demand today!
demand (according to Noah Webster’s 1828 dictionary) the calling for, desire to possess, a desire or seeking to obtain!!!!
So…what say ye???
Love ya
Sandra
