One only hopes in this life that they have been a successful dad and that they have somehow been able to at least do some of the right things when it comes to raising a daughter or son. I was so blessed to receive this note from my only daughter this past Fathers Day and it put my past into such a wonderful perspective. I have posted it here within my blog to share with you…

Father,

You exceed the definition. I look up to you more than anyone else. I am so blessed to have had you and mom raise me. This week especially has shown me how beautiful my family is, and you are the core. You’re still my hero, even though I can’t ride on your shoulders. You will always be my biggest influence and I love sharing your stories with my friends. The security in knowing that if I ever needed any thing you would be there is overwhelming. There will never be another man who will teach me as much as you have taught me, or earn as much respect as you have. I love you and am envious of what mom found. I can only hope to get as lucky.
