   I think my comments were misunderstood. It isn’t my place to judge or critique Ted’s personal life. That is between him and his maker…

   I merely was commenting that he got a lot done (body armor, disabilities act, etc.) and he never appeared angry to me. But I don’t know what “drove” him to get things done because frankly I didn’t know him. I was also observing that there is a tendency to assume we “know” public figures by what we read and hear in the press which in your case appears to be FOX news exclusively…

   Anger is a motivator. I told a therapist years ago that I was afraid to give up my anger because it energizes me. Anger is often a passion that finds dissatisfaction with the current condition and seeks to change it. Anger can build and destroy. As with power of a horse it needs to be bridled and directed.

   This statement has nothing to do with virtue. Angry people accomplish things… as you say, Hitler nearly conquered the whole entire world. His anger allowed him to get it done efficiently and amazingly quick when you think about it. Morals are another discussion altogether my child!

   I understand your point, but its problematic to say that because he accomplished a lot there was virtue. If that is what you are saying, then Hitler was a great guy. He, Ted K. did adhere to his philosophy and was a dedicated undetured liberal politician. He was personally exempt from most rules due to his family position and wealth. To hear him speak one would think he was a poor disinfranchised american. He never walked away from his power or position. His life was one of great personal diapointment,failure and hipocracy. He fought for “freadoms” which will distroy the fabric of our republic. I trust he came to death in the arms of those he loved and in the grace of God. However, I say may the gauntlet say down.

   Very interesting!

   Due to the recent events, I found I was trying to match Ted Kennedy’s personality up with your theory until I realized that as with many folks in the public eye, we assume the public image is a measure of the true person.

   Regardless of our political leanings, Ted Kennedy will be remembered as someone who got things done…I only hope there is someone who will pick up the gauntlet.

   Sorry to be so wordy!
